In the last part of 2011, following on from a career break, John decided to follow his dream of opening a bistro. This dream started off with the opening of Dandelion Coffee Shop, which traded until early 2016 at which point the business expanded and moved premises to become a bistro and Dandelion and Burdock Kitchen and Lounge was born.
The bistro opened in June of 2016 with quality and service at the heart of the business.
Supporting other local businesses is important and we source most of their products locally, supporting good relationships with suppliers.
You will never find any pre- packaged food at Dandelion and Burdock, instead all the food and meals are prepared from scratch, this way our customers know it’s fresh and can always have their food exactly the way they like it as this is the way it should be.
